Five terms that change the meaning of “bonus”

Warning signs of promotion-led pressure
- A countdown that restarts each time you open the page.
- A request to deposit money to “unlock” an unexpected prize.
- A promise that losses can be recovered through a larger offer.
- A person requesting your OTP, UPI PIN or remote access to claim the reward.
- A promotion without identifiable terms or an independently confirmed publisher.
Can a bonus be treated as income?
No. A conditional promotional balance is not wages, savings or a guaranteed financial return. The existence of an offer also does not establish that the underlying game is lawful.
